Instructions for a successful picnic

Choose your picnic spot

Take your picnic basket and food to a place where you would like to set up your blanket. We suggest somewhere that is not too crowded and that offers some softer ground than cement or cobblestones. There is plenty of grass and parkland around your location, so just venture around and choose somewhere nice. Once you have chosen your picnic spot, take the blanket out of the basket and lay it open over the ground. This will provide you with somewhere to sit and lay out your food.

Time for a Toast

If you are not ready to eat yet, then we suggest taking your bottle of wine/drink to the terrace with cups provided and make a “brindisi” overlooking the city. Inside the basket you will find there are some small snacks already prepared for the occasion. Make sure to keep your picnic food covered or even better don’t take it out, leave it packed till you are ready to eat!

Time for a Picnic

Having had a little drink and perhaps even taken a customary photo from the terrace, now you can unpack your basket. It will contain portions of various Italian delicacies such as sun dried tomatoes, ham, cheese, bread, olives, mozzarella and fruit. Enjoy them together or on their own, there are some specialties that go better together than others. Have a look at a list of possibile combinations below:

Slices of melon with prosciutto
Mozzarella, Olive oil and Cherry tomatoes with salt

Time to Pack Up

Once you have finished eating and its time to return your picnic basket, please make sure not to leave any rubbish on the ground. Just put the blanket and back into the basket. You are welcome to keep any of the uneaten food or unopened containers and take them with you. As for any rubbish or unwanted food, please dispose of it in the nearest bin.
We will come collect the picnic basket from you after 1.5 hours of starting your picnic.
