The Appia Antica is an ancient roman road starting from the Aurelian Walls and Gate of St. Sebastian and is protected as a national monument. Cycling the trails and paths that run alongside the Appian Way brings us to the Catacombs of St Callisto and the Park of the Aqueducts where we are able to see the Roman Aqueducts up close. On our way back into the city we pass through woods and a natural spring for a lunch break.
It was a great day out! We went biking through the countryside and see sheep.
