The Appian Way Bike Tour
Romes best bike tour

The Appian Way Bike Tour is along an ancient roman road that takes you through wooded forests, along dirt tracks to the Park of the Aqueducts.

The Appian Way bike tour is made possibile for even the worst cyclist thanks to the use of electric bicycles, a must when you need to reach the top of a hill. The tour of the Appian Way and a trip to the Aqueducts Park in Rome is worth the effort though and we will stop for a picnic along the way.

Stop to have a picnic at a natural spring in the area. A great tour for those who want to get out of the city and into the countryside, leaving the chaos of Rome behind and enjoying the fresh air of the Appia Antica regional park.

This was our second tour with Glen and we thoroughly enjoyed both. The catacombs are a must see and what better way to go than by bike. The tour is fun and the cycling not to tough. Our 12 year old coped fine. Glen is an excellent guide and very personable. We rode along paths and tracks you’d never visit any other way. If you want to get away from the crowds take this tour, you won’t regret it!

If Musa is still there, ask for him to guide your tour. He’s such an intelligent, thoughtful and fun guide. Rome is special, but this tour will add much to your experience.

  3. This tour is just perfect if you want something off the beaten path. Glen was our guide and he was fun, informative, and easy going. He was knowledgeable of the area, answering all questions we had. He did not rush us and let us make all the stops we wanted. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed!

We were in Rome in July and did the Appian Way Tour with Musa. What a great guide! He knew so much and it was clear he had studied things in his own time. A really interesting person to chat to. The tour takes you off the beaten track to things you would never see without a local. It was a fantastic tour, a bit hot, but it was one of the best things we did in Rome. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
