Originally from South Africa, I moved to Italy in 2007 after having finished school in England. My grasp of the Italian language was basic but enough to get to know people. By the end of 2008 I had mastered an intermediate level of italian and would continue to progress onto higher levels.
Today my proficiency of the italian language is enough to fool some italians into thinking I'm one of them! Although I never manage to be as charming...
My other interests besides Italy, the Italians and the Italian way of life are: Cycling, Languages and Travel.
At the moment I am heavily involved with the day-to-day running of The Red Bike Shop and am a keen cyclist, taking part in races and especially Grandfondos (one-off races).
My goal for the future is to open a fully functional bike shop in the center of Rome.
