-Ancient Heart of Rome-
The first part of the tour covers the area known as the Ancient Heart of Rome. From a viewpoint on the Aventine Hill, we are able to admire the emperors palace on the Palatine Hill.
-Aventine Hill & Garden of the Oranges-
Continuing to the top of the Aventine Hill, we can see downtown Rome from the viewpoint at the Garden of the Oranges.
– Capitoline Hill & Roman Forum-
From just above the where the river runs, passing through the heart of Rome lies the roman forum. Cycling up the Capitoline Hill allows us to view this archaeological site from above.
– Jewish Rome-
Around the river front, near to the island was once where the Jews were forced to live in a “ghett0”. The only survivors from ancient Rome, the Jewish quarter is praised for its specific food and tradition.
– Campo de Fiori & Trastevere –
Cycling across to the medieval square takes us through a passageway depicting cherubs and religious figures, leading through to the square. After which its over the bridge to Trastevere.
– Gianicolo Hill & Viewpoint –
Cycling up to the top of this hill takes us past other more interesting sites such as the Spanish Academy and the Fountain of Pope Paul 5th the “Acqua Paola”. From the balcony, we can look out over the whole of the city.
– Vatican City –
A stop just outside the boundary of Vatican territory(directly infront of St. Peters Basilica) allows us to admire the heart of the catholic faith. Includes a look at the St Peters square, the Angelic Gate and the Castel of St. Angelo.
– Piazza Navona & the Pantheon-
Crossing over the bridge of The Angels brings us at the Piazza Navona, a short ride from the Pantheon.
-Piazza Del Popolo & Borghese Gardens-
From the government buildings of Montecitorio to the Gate of Flaminia. Exiting through the city walls leads us to the Gardens of the Borghese Villa. Cycling up through the garden to the balcony and viewpoint.
-Quirinale and Monti Neighborhood-
On our way back to the Colosseum, we pass through a up and coming neighborhood of Rome. Stopping at the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore we pass through the gardens of Colle Oppio as we cycle downhill to the Colosseum.
